On Tuesday, April 1, the Georgia Public Service Commission approved the RFP documents for Georgia Power’s purchase of 495 MW of solar energy from new projects to be constructed over the next 3 years (the ASI and ASI-Prime programs). Georgia Power released the bid form at 12:00 noon on April 2. The posting of the final approved documents and the release of the bid form initiated the bidding process. Georgia Power Files Revised RFP and PPA for 495 MW Solar Purchase with Georgia PSC
On Friday, February 21, 2014, Georgia Power filed the revised Request for Proposals (RFP) and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) documents with the Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC). The revised documents along with redline versions and a summary of the changes to the documents have been uploaded to the solar purchase website. The revisions to the RFP and PPA were the result of comments provided by interested parties. Comments that were accepted were incorporated in the revised documents. Georgia Power ASI Self-Build Option
The Georgia Power ASI and ASI Prime RFP includes a self-build option for projects that will be offered for sale to and ownership by Georgia Power. The attached document was posted to the website today. Anyone interested in developing a project for sale to Georgia Power should fill out and file the Notice of Intent before the close of business next Monday, January 13.
