Paine Schwartz made the strategic investment through its Paine Schwartz Food Chain Fund IV. Colorado Springs law firm Sparks Willson Borges Brandt & Johnson, P.C. also served as co-counsel to MS Biotec®.
MS Biotec® intends to use Paine Schwartz’s investment to accelerate the development and commercialization of its organization and innovative products, which will capitalize on a significant market opportunity. The Wamego, Kansas-based company is the world’s first and only commercial producer of Megasphaera elsdenii (“Me”), a lactate-utilizing probiotic that enables feedlots to accelerate cattle from roughage to high-concentrate diets. MS Biotec® has also successfully commercialized Lactipro Advance® and has an innovative new product pipeline including new freeze-dried and feed-incorporated product candidates.
