Smith, Gambrell & Russell Represents Flip Electronics in Deal with O2 Investment Partners

ATLANTA (January 15, 2021) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal counsel to Flip Electronics, LLC (Flip), an authorized specialty distributor of electronic components, in its investment transaction with O2 Investment Partners (O2), a Midwestern private equity firm. O2’s significant investment will help finance the continued aggressive expansion of Flip’s robust platform. Flip is the third platform investment for O2’s most recent fund, O2 Investment Partners Fund III.

Based in Roswell, Georgia, Flip Electronics serves as a critical supply chain partner to both electronic component manufacturers and end customers across a range of industries, including military, aerospace, telecommunications, healthcare, and industrial. With industry-leading suppliers and expertise, Flip is able to solve complex challenges caused by component obsolescence through its core focus on end-of-life, obsolete, and hard-to-find parts. Flip has experienced significant growth over the last several years, and the partnership and investment funding provided by O2 will take the company into its next stage of growth.
