Smith Gambrell Russell Global Transport Practice Partners Named to Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal): Transport 2024

Peter Barlow, partner, is an SGR Corporate section head and the leader of the Global Transport Practice. His legal practice concentrates in the areas of aircraft finance, commercial and corporate aircraft acquisitions and leasing, airline representation, aviation law, and general corporate representation. Mr. Barlow is regularly recognized by publications for his work in aviation law.

Joshua Gentner is a partner and a member of SGR’s Global Transport Practice. He represents and counsels clients in connection with a variety of debt, equity and lease financings. Mr. Gentner handles matters related to aircraft, locomotives, rolling stock, vessels and other machinery and equipment financing. He is consistently recognized for his work in transportation law.

Jason Huff is a partner in SGR’s Global Transport Practice. He represents banks, financial institutions, equipment finance companies, lenders, borrowers, lessors, lessees and other parties involved in the transportation industry in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, and other transactions. He has wide-ranging experience representing lenders and lessors in all aspects of domestic and cross-border equipment and structured finance transactions with specific focus on transactions involving aircraft and rail equipment.

Marc Latman is a partner in SGR’s Corporate Practice and a member of the Global Transport Practice. He advises clients on aircraft equipment financing, leasing, acquisition and divesture, equipment financing, and secured lending transactions. Mr. Latman has been consistently recognized by publications for his work in aviation law.

Donald Mitchell is a partner in SGR’s Corporate Practice. He has represented airlines, finance companies, maintenance facilities, brokerage firms, fixed-base operators, parts dealers, private companies. and individuals with purchase, sale, lease, maintenance, training and services transactions involving aircraft, engines, fleet equipment, and other capital equipment and inventory. Mr. Mitchell is a trained mediator and consultant on aviation and industry matters.

Thomas Stalzer is a partner in SGR’s Corporate and Tax practices. He specializes in handling all legal aspects associated with corporate aviation, including contract preparation and negotiations, FAA regulatory advice and compliance, and federal, state and local tax advice and compliance. Mr. Stalzer represents sellers, purchasers, financing sources and others in connection with the sale, purchase, exchange, lease and financing of jet and turboprop aircraft.

Jeffrey Tenen is a partner in SGR’s Global Transport Practice. His primary areas of practice are aircraft finance and leasing, cross-border structured lending and asset-based financing transactions, aviation, and international business and commercial transactions. Mr. Tenen represents air carriers, leasing companies and lenders in a range of financing, sale, and leasing transactions and other related commercial matters. He is consistently recognized for his work in aviation law.

Howard Turner is a partner in SGR’s Corporate Practice and a member of the Global Transport Practice. He has more than 30 years of experience representing airlines, aircraft lessors and financiers, parts manufacturers and engine overhaul facilities. Mr. Turner also has extensive corporate experience representing clients in acquisition, sale and financing contexts.
