ATLANTA (September 20, 2023) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Melissa Salsano has joined the Firm’s Construction Practice in the New York and Atlanta offices. Ms. Salsano was most recently an attorney with Dentons in the U.S. construction, infrastructure, and transportation law group.
“We are pleased to welcome Melissa to SGR’s Construction group,” said Peter Crofton, partner and head of SGR’s Atlanta Construction Practice. “She brings combined experience in construction law and civil engineering that will enhance the Firm’s Construction Practice capabilities in New York and Atlanta.”
As an experienced construction lawyer, litigator and engineer, Ms. Salsano represents international and domestic general contractors, construction managers, owners and developers on a wide array of private and public construction and infrastructure projects. She routinely provides project counseling, from contract negotiation to execution and final completion. Additionally, Ms. Salsano represents clients in the resolution of complex litigation matters and disputes at the state, federal and appellate levels, as well as during contract negotiation and project administration.
Ms. Salsano earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and holds a B.S. in civil engineering, magma cum laude, from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
