ATLANTA (January 5, 2022) – Smith Gambrell Russell (SGR) is pleased to announce the addition of Ellen H. Fontanella and Emily C. Ward to its partnership effective January 1, 2022.

Ellen Fontanella is a member of the firm’s Global Transport Practice based in Miami. She represents airlines in connection with the acquisition, leasing and financing of air transport and corporate aircraft and other equipment. Ms. Fontanella is also responsible for drafting corporate documents for the airlines, supervising and managing Latin American outside counsel on various transactions, as well as drafting corporate governance and transactional documents for the airlines.
Emily Ward is a member of SGR’s Atlanta Litigation and White Collar Law practices. Her practice is concentrated in white collar defense and civil litigation, including health care, business, and environmental litigation, as well as administrative and regulatory matters. Ms. Ward is also active within the American Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, and Atlanta Bar Association, where she has served in various leadership positions and as a member of several committees.
