PR Wang

ATLANTA (October 18, 2021) – Smith Gambrell Russell (SGR) is pleased to announce that Los Angeles attorney Jenny Wang has been selected to the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the California Lawyers Association (CLA). The DEI Committee is focused on increasing diversity within the CLA and creating opportunities for more inclusion in the association. One of three California bar-wide initiatives created by the CLA, the DEI Committee is consistent with CLA’s mission of promoting excellence, diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and fairness in the administration of justice and the rule of law.

A major focus of the DEI Committee’s work has been to improve the diversity of its volunteer leadership ranks and craft policies in support of a diverse and inclusive organization. The DEI Committee works as a complement to the CLA’s Diversity Outreach Advisory (DOC) Committee, which reviews and creates opportunities for CLA members to volunteer for or to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion projects.

Ms. Wang, an associate in the Corporate and Tax practices, focuses her practice in the areas of corporate law, tax law, and trusts & estates. She represents business entities in drafting agreements and amendments to reflect their changing business demands. She also advises individuals in helping them with trusts & estates planning and administration matters. In addition to representing her clients, Ms. Wang is involved with helping those who cannot afford legal services. She volunteered with VITA to serve low-income taxpayers in income tax assistance, with Public Law Center in assisting pro bono clients with transactional matters, and with her local community to provide general legal advice. Ms. Wang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Shanghai dialect and also speaks conversational Spanish.
