As outlined in earlier Client Alerts on August 26, 2011 and October 6, 2011, the National Labor Relations Board issued a new rule requiring most employers to notify employees of their unionization rights under the National Labor Relations Act by posting an 11″ x 17″ Notice of Employee Rights (“Notice”). Based on a request from the federal court in Washington D.C. that is hearing a legal challenge regarding the rule, the effective date to post the required Notice has been extended to April 30, 2012.
If you have any questions about the Notice or the delay of its posting, please contact your labor and employment counsel at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
