Ms. Ueda is a Law Clerk in the Corporate Practice of Smith Gambrell Russell LLP and focuses her practice on corporate law and international law.
Before joining the Firm, Ms. Ueda has worked as a Deputy Director at the Financial Services Agency (the Government of Japan) and has also worked as a Chief Compliance Officer at Credit Suisse and as an Assistant Vice President at the Tokyo Star Bank.
Ms. Ueda earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo with a concentration on International Politics and her Master’s Degree in European and International Business Law from the University of Vienna (with Distinction). Ms. Ueda earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Waseda Law School in Tokyo, concentrating on Financial Services and Capital Markets Law as well as General Corporate Law. She received her Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Stanford University. While at Stanford, Ms. Ueda was a member of the Stanford International Arbitration Association (SIAA).
