Thomas H. Hong is the Head of the Corporate Practice Group of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP and serves as the Finance Partner of the Firm. He is also a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Hong concentrates his practice on advising a wide variety of clients on corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border structuring, joint ventures, venture capital transactions and general international business matters. He has represented both institutional and strategic buyers and sellers in various transactions, including mergers, stock sales, asset sales and spin-offs. Mr. Hong represents clients in many industries but has a particular emphasis on manufacturing clients and as such he co-chairs the Manufacturing Practice Group of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
In connection with his M&A practice, Mr. Hong has extensive experience assisting clients with Hart-Scott-Rodino filings and related transactional antitrust issues.
He received his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1993. In 1997, Mr. Hong received his J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law. He is a member of the California and Georgia State Bars.
