Savannah Phinney Welch is an Associate in the Real Estate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Welch’s practice is focused on commercial real estate transactions including purchase and sale, leasing, and financing.
Ms. Welch received her Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, in Finance and International Business and a Certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership from the University of Georgia. While at the University of Georgia, she interned for FTI Forensic and Litigation Consulting and spent a summer studying at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. She is also a member of Palladia Women’s Honor Society.
Ms. Welch earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia. While in law school, Ms. Welch competed on the Georgia Law’s negotiation competition team and held an executive board position as recruitment co-chair. While on the team, she won the second highest team score at the 2019 Magnolia Cup Competition at the University of Mississippi and won the best draft and overall Runner-up at the 2020 Transactional LawMeet at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Ms. Welch also served as the Senior Managing Editor on the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. During law school, she was a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge John J. Ellington for the Court of Appeals of Georgia and worked as a law clerk for Piedmont Athens Regional. Ms. Welch was named a Keith W. Mason Public Leadership Scholar.
