Mr. Makuch practices before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in connection with cases covering a broad range of electronic subject matters such as interactive control systems, artificial intelligence, video signal processing, image forming machines, integrated circuits, including device fabrication technology, photovoltaic cells and measurement, and detection systems. Mr. Makuch also has extensive experience in the optics and electro-optics arts, including optical neural networks, learning networks, interconnection systems, lasers, and fiber optics. He further has many years of mechanical and electrical practice expertise in the art of semiconductor processing and cutting equipment. Mr. Makuch has an extensive trademark practice and is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
Mr. Makuch is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, Ohio Bar, American Bar Association, Bar Association of the District of Columbia, Optical Society of America, Japan-America Society, American Intellectual Property Association, International Trademark Association (INTA), Yale Engineering Association and is an officer in the Brookdale Citizens Association. Mr. Makuch is a graduate of Yale University, where he received a B.S. degree with a concentration in electrical engineering in 1980. He earned his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1984.
