January 2, 2025 – Bloomberg Law recently interviewed Joel Bruckman on the expanding landscape of state-level privacy legislation in 2025, highlighting new measures to protect children’s online data and regulate health data outside HIPAA’s scope.

Social media sites have faced data privacy scrutiny over the last year “particularly with an eye on how they’re using personal information both for marketing purposes or targeting purposes with respect to children,” Bruckman noted.
