As we reported in our last client alert, Georgia Power Company has issued its draft Request for Proposals (RFP) to fulfill both the last 70 MW of its Advanced Solar Initiative (ASI) and the requirement imposed last year by the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) that Georgia Power Company purchase an additional 425 MW of solar energy.
The Georgia Power ASI and ASI-Prime RFP includes a self-build option for projects that will be offered for sale of the project to and ownership by Georgia Power. Companies interested in developing a project for sale to Georgia Power must fill out and file a Notice of Intent (posted today) before the close of business next Monday, January 13. Projects submitted as self-build cannot also be submitted as RFP projects.
The Notice of Intent can be accessed in PDF form. For more information or for assistance with the program, contact Steve O’Day.
